Buggin' Around

Summary

Embark on a cozy but challenging quest as you rebuild your wings with help from fellow bug friends. Inside of a colorful world full of remarkable creatures and sights, the player must journey to discover how to enable their flight again by patching up their broken wings. Each bug the player encounters will have something special to show the player, as well as a potential challenge that the player must overcome. 

The world is expansive and vibrant, with everything scaled for the player’s bug-size. Grass is huge and towering, water puddles seem like oceans, and the world around the player appears neverending. There is much to explore and do in this world, with challenging elements such as puzzles, platformers, minigames, and more.  

Gameplay

There are four sections of the world, each with a different task to complete.

1. Puzzle (inventory system, clicking, interacting with objects)
2. Boss Fight (HP, simple melee combat)
3. Platformer (jumping, running)
4. Minigame (racing)

This game was developed in Unreal Engine 5 by four college students as part of a video game development course. We had a lot of fun creating it. We hope you enjoy it as well! : )
